Position Title – Order Entry Specialist

Summary of Duties – Responsible for entering orders into the production cycle, price estimating, customer complaint resolution and reordering printed products.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Data Entry Knowledge - Must have excellent proofreading, keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Math Skills - Outstanding mathematical skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Experience if customer service or sales. Understands the Sales process.
  • Interpersonal Skills - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coordinate, communicate, and relate well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals, inside and outside the Company.
  • Communication Skills - Good written and verbal skills.  Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and implement written documents and instructions such as government regulations, procedure manuals, work instructions, freight documents, and software manuals.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail - Extremely accurate in the preparation and proofing of various documents, reports, correspondence, and computer data entry.
  • Critical Thinking - Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Innovative - Self-motivated; has the drive and determination to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Organized - Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines; ability to plan, implement, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Strong Work Ethic - Dependable, conscientious, hardworking, and persistent; holds self and others accountable; task and goal oriented; sets high standards.
  • Good skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new software programs quickly.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Proof customer order information received from the Sales personnel for completeness and accuracy.
  • Work closely with Sales personnel to ensure timely and accurate quote preparation.
  • Input all customer order information on SPC’s standard Job Jacket Input Sheets.
  • Research information and question Sales personnel as necessary to complete the Job Jacket Input Sheets.
  • Price orders and provide quotes to Sales personnel as needed.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all SPC products and product specifications.
  • Research new vendors and obtain pricing from third party suppliers.
  • Research business growth opportunities.
