Sales & Marketing Director

As the Sales & Marketing Director for Southland Printing Company, you will be responsible for managing the business-development process. This is the process of acquiring new customers or clients through direct sales techniques, cold calling and business-to-business marketing visits. You will also be managing the individual team members' schedule, territory, performance, time off and quota increases. You will responsible for Meeting Sales Goals, Negotiation, Selling to Customer Needs, Motivation for Sales, Sales Planning, Building Relationships, Coaching, Managing Processes, Market Knowledge, Developing Budgets, Staffing.

Qualifications include:

  • Sales (B2B) and Managerial experience, Parking industry background preferred.
  • Must be a leader by example and mentor to department employees.
  • Excellent telephone contact handling and active listening skills.
  • Energetic, focused and a team player.
  • Computer knowledge with a wiliness to learn our system.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.

Position Title – Sales Account Manager

Summary of Duties – Responsible for developing new business, connecting with key business stakeholders.  Communicate between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of Southland Printing Company, Inc. solutions according to customer needs.

Skills/Qualifications – Must have excellent understanding of current applications and trends selling in the printing industry; Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships; Must be proficient working with all types of sales to national accounts and selling business to business; Must be comfortable working towards defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s); Must be able to quickly understand the client, their products and their industry; Experience in managing product development and launches, coordinating team members, developing timetables and setting deadlines in order to achieve client objectives. Ability to effectively manage customer & staff relationships, promptly respond to queries, ensure promises are kept and manage expectations; Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive inbound and outbound calls, emails, and proposals to focus on maintaining and expanding business relationships as well as gaining market share with new customers.
  • Develop new accounts and prospects through networking, referrals and cold calling.
  • Maintaining a high volume of daily activity including a minimum of 50 cold calls per day.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of SPC solutions (services and products) according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Communicate clearly the progress of weekly/monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics using sales funnel.

Position Title – Bindery Support Specialist

Summary of Duties – Responsible for packaging printed products produced on a printing press.

Skills/Qualifications – Minimum age of 18. Good eye hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to use small hand tools and finishing equipment. Accuracy and attention to detail in the preparation and proofing of various documents and correspondence. Moderate mechanical aptitude – Some troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.  Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly. Moderate mathematical skills – Ability to use a variety of hand held measuring devices; Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure including metrics, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all packaging of printed material produced on the assigned press.  Must be willing to work at a reasonable pace to keep up with the product being delivered.
  • Review complete job jacket regarding specific bindery requirements and act accordingly.
  • Review printed orders to make sure that they correspond to job jackets and are packed correctly.
  • Carefully review printed product for quality and defects and report such to pressman.
  • Review labels and shipping instructions for accuracy and deliver finished product to assigned areas.
  • Monitor and assist pressman when necessary.
  • Pull supplies as requested by pressman.
  • Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of Flexo equipment.
