CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (CSR)

Summary of Duties – Works closely with others in the Sales department to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution. Responsible for serving existing customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Data Entry Knowledge – Must have excellent proofreading, keyboarding and data entry skills; Accurate in taking information, filling out quote sheets and inputting data into computer. 
  • Interpersonal Skills – Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coordinate, communicate, and relate well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals, inside and outside the Company; Ability to successfully interact with others one on one or in a group setting; excellent listening skills; ability to bring others together, reconcile differences, and achieve the desired results. Ability to effectively manage customer & staff relationships, promptly responds to queries, ensure promises are kept and manage expectations.
  • Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal skills.  Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and implement written documents and instructions such as government regulations, procedure manuals, work instructions, freight documents, and software manuals; Ability to write clear and concise correspondence and reports; Ability to verbally communicate well with others such as customers, vendors, and associates.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail – Very accurate in the preparation and proofing of various documents, reports, correspondence, and computer data entry.

Summary of Duties:

  • Assist assigned Director of Business Development with internal customer support, and to ensure timely and accurate quote preparation.
  • Handle calls from Director of Business Development in assigned areas.
  • Input all customer order information into the computer in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts.
  • Ensure clients request and needs are identified and satisfied.
  • Enlist the support of Sales Department, sales team resources, production resources, and other management resources as needed.
  • Receive and answer calls from the clients or client service units in relation to the clients request or questions; Answer the client’s questions and ensure their problems are resolved; conduct follow-up tasks.
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product specifications.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.
  • Recommends new products and services to up sell/cross sell products to customers.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Proof customer order information received from Director of Business Development for completeness and accuracy.
  • Research information and question Director of Business Development as necessary to complete the Job Jacket Input Sheet.
  • Price orders and provide quotes to customers as needed.
  • Proof Job Jacket edits after they have been input in the system and printed.
  • Maintain current and historical Job Jacket records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all SPC products and product specifications.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency with all procedures and manuals used by the Sales Department.
  • Coordinate jobs with Production and/or other departments as necessary to meet or exceed customer requirements in a timely manner.
  • Assist other Customer Service Representatives as necessary to meet deadlines and department goals.
  • Responsible for evaluating workload demands and taking appropriate steps to ensure schedules and goals are maintained according to established SPC procedures.
  • Any other duties as required or assigned.

Computer Office Skills:

Good skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; keyboarding and data entry skills; ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new software programs quickly. Ability to use a variety of office equipment to include computers, calculators, fax machine, copiers, and printers.

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced office environment with some exposure to manufacturing/production areas which include dust, noise, moving mechanical parts and vehicles.  The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Educational/Experience Required

Two (2) years related customer service/data entry or account/project management experience. Degree in related field a plus.

PRESS ASSISTANT

Summary of Duties – Responsible for packaging printed products produced on a printing press.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to use small hand tools and finishing equipment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in the preparation and proofing of various documents and correspondence.
  • Moderate mechanical aptitude – Some troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.
  • Moderate mathematical skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure including metrics, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to use a variety of handheld measuring devices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – Must be a self-starter who is team-oriented, dependable, and cooperative.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills – Ability to read, interpret and apply instructions and procedures contained in documents such as procedure manuals, job jackets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and a variety of technical manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
  • Ability to communicate well with supervisors and associates.

  • Responsible for all packaging of printed material produced on the assigned press. Must be willing to work at a reasonable pace to keep up with the product being delivered.
  • Review complete job jacket regarding specific bindery requirements and act accordingly.
  • Review printed orders to make sure that they correspond to job jackets and are packed correctly.
  • Carefully review printed product for quality and defects and report such to pressman.
  • Review labels and shipping instructions for accuracy and deliver finished product to assigned areas.
  • Pull supplies as requested by pressman.
  • Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of equipment.
