The Experience of New and Rewarding Opportunities.

Recently, two of our sales account managers and our sales manager attended trade shows in Texas and Florida.

John Cordaro (Sales Acct. Manager) participated in the 2016 Football Bowl Association Conference in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. This is the annual conference and trade show for all of the College Bowl Games in America, and currently there are 41 bowl games played across the country. Many of these bowl games are also part of neutral site games or kick-off games to open the season. Southland has bowl game clients, but we are hoping to add even more.

This year, a trade show was held along with the conference where select vendors could display their game-related products. During the exhibition, John says he had the opportunity to meet many different Bowl Game Representatives,

"I got to visit with many different people and introduce them to Southland Printing Company. This show was very different from ones we have done in the Parking Industry, so we're the new kid on the block with the FBA, but that gives us good potential for forming new relationships and bringing on new clients."

John felt like it was a positive introduction of our company to the bowl community, stating, "The people that stopped by were impressed with our samples we've done for the Independence Bowl."

On the other side of Louisiana, Alan English (Sales Manager) and Angela Souder (National Acct. Manager) were at the annual 2016 Texas Parking and Transportation Association Conference and Trade Show in College Station, TX. The TPTA Conference is where around 200 parking professionals gather each year to network and participate in different activities. They have educational sessions, a golf tournament, evening entertainment, vendor exhibits, and roundtable discussions.

It was Alan and Angela's first time attending this particular trade show and they both labeled it a success. Angela mentioned that it was a wonderful experience overall and it was great for networking,

"I was able to meet several people that I had called on so I was able to put a name with a face, which was nice. I believe that the relationship building we did at this event will generate business for Southland."

She says that all the feedback she received about Southland was very positive, and she was amazed at the amount of people knew about "the rose" and wanted a sticker for their badge.

Alan had a great experience as well,

"This was my first TPTA Conference and I have to say it was one of the best conventions that I've been to. It was fun to meet so may people from Texas and all over. It really makes you realize the Parking Industry is a great industry to be in."
