SALES MANAGER

We are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working, and driven Sales Manager who is goal-oriented, self-motivated, and truly passionate regarding sales and customer service. If these attributes reflect your personality, then Southland Printing Company is the right place for you!

As the Sales Manager for Southland Printing Company, you will be responsible for managing the business-development process. This is the process of acquiring new customers or clients through direct sales techniques, cold calling and business-to-business marketing visits. You will also be managing the individual team members' schedule, territory, performance, time off and quota increases. You will be responsible for Meeting Sales Goals, Negotiation, Selling to Customer Needs, Motivation for Sales, Sales Planning, Building Relationships, Coaching, Managing Processes, Market Knowledge, Developing Budgets, Staffing.

Qualifications include:
• Sales (B2B) and Managerial experience, Parking industry background preferred

• Must be a leader by example and mentor to department employees
• Excellent telephone contact handling and active listening skills
• Energetic, focused and a team player
• Computer knowledge with a willingness to learn our system

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

• Familiarity with CRM systems and practices

• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus

 

Compensation/Benefits: 

  • Pay rate - based on experience

  • Accrue Paid Sick time from Full-time hire date

PRESS OPERATOR (Flexo experience preferred)

Summary of Duties – Responsible for the operation of Flexo printing presses to produce high quality printed products for on-time delivery.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18.

  • Moderate knowledge and proven ability to efficiently operate and maintain Flexo printing presses, monitor for quality control and make required repairs.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail in the preparation and proofing of various documents and correspondence.

  • Moderate mechanical aptitude – Above average troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.  Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.

  • Moderate mathematical skills – Ability to use a variety of handheld measuring devices; Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure including metrics, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Carefully review copy and plates to ensure they correspond to the job jacket.  Report and correct any discrepancies or errors to management.

  • Monitor and periodically inspect print quality, color, registration, numbering sequence, and product defects and make adjustments to rectify errors or problems.

  • Collect required retains at each press stop for inspection.

  • Responsible for minimizing waste at all times in the production cycle. 

  • Maintain accurate Job Accountability Sheet of number resets and other flags as required; Collect specified samples per job requirements.

BINDERY SUPPORT

Summary of Duties – Perform commercial bindery functions to include stapling, folding, cutting, padding, collating, packaging, labeling, and shipping of products.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18.

  • Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to use small hand tools and finishing equipment.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail in the preparation and proofing of various documents and correspondence.

  • Strong mathematical skills – Ability to use a variety of handheld measuring devices; Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure including metrics, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain various types of bindery equipment for punching holes, folding, stapling, binding, padding, cutting, taping, stacking, collating, packaging, and labeling printed products.

  • Stack, glue and cut padding jobs/products to meet job specifications.

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly equipment operator maintenance on all assigned equipment.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Summary of Duties – Responsible for serving existing customers by selling products and meeting customer needs

Skills/Qualifications

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Must have great proofreading, keyboarding and data entry skills

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Assist assigned Sales Account Manager with internal customer support, and to ensure timely and accurate quote preparation. Ensure clients request and needs are identified and satisfied.

  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts.

  • Works closely with the Sales Manager, Sales Support Supervisor, Regional Sales Managers, and other Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

  • Receive and answer calls from the clients or client service units in relation to the clients request or questions; Answer client’s questions & ensure their problems are resolved; conduct follow-up tasks. Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, making recommendations to management.

  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product specifications.
